as a tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on the 60th anniversary celebrations of His Majesty’s accession to the throne

The “I Will Do” campaign invites Thai people from across the nation to come together and make their pledges of good deeds as a tribute to HM the King

True Corporation Plc takes great pride to be part of the 60th Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne with the launch of the “I Will Do” campaign inviting everyone across the nation to come forward and make their pledges of good deeds as a tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej in the most innovative way ever introduced in Thailand—recording your pledge messages on web cams especially set up by True Corporation Plc at 50 True Shops in Bangkok and the provinces. The project originated from a simple idea which believes that, how little this pledge making may seem, it can have a great meaning if they come from millions of hearts that unite as one to manifest the deepest gratitude and love for His Majesty the King.  The recorded pledge messages will be selected for broadcast on UBC News 7, while other online channels are available for the public to make their pledges as well.  Bangkok June 1, 2006 – Thailand’s only fully-integrated communications company and solutions leader in convergence lifestyles, True Corporation Plc, today announced the launch of the “ I Will Do” campaign, a nationwide initiative calling for Thai people from all over the country to come forward and make their pledges of good deeds as a tribute to His Majesty the King.

The project was conceived from a simple concept of “little deeds can be of great value,” believing that strong wishes and aspirations of millions can turn into a unified force of love and gratitude that Thai people hold for their beloved King.   True is thus offering this unique opportunity to all Thais to express their loyalty and appreciation to His Majesty by making their pledges to perform good deeds via modern online media technology.

Mr. Supachai Cheeravanont, President and CEO of True Corporation Plc, stated, “True Group is proud to be part of the great celebrations of the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne.  The ‘I Will Do’ project, which is implemented via True Group’s extensive communications network, allows millions of Thai citizens nationwide to make their pledges of good deeds, which is hoped to bring joy and delight to His Majesty the King as Thai people pledge to follow the right path.”

“These pledges might seem little, yet their value is beyond any assessment as millions of people come together and resolve to do good deeds in recognition of His Majesty the King’s great kindness and dedication rendered to us all during the 60 years of his reign.  Based on this belief, True came up with the idea to offer opportunities to the public to express their gratitude and aspirations by making their pledges via True Group’s nationwide network of modern communications,” said Mr. Supachai.

The “I Will Do” campaign is a long-standing effort as it aims to mobilize as many people as possible in the project.

“The idea is very simple and came out of a well-recognized truth that His Majesty the King has worked so hard for the past 60 years for the sake of Thailand and the Thai people.  So it is now our turn to do just one good thing in return of such great kindness that we are fortunate enough to be blessed with. No matter how small, 63 million good deeds can, on a daily basis, come together and develop into a formidable force,” said Mr. Supachai.

The “I will Do” project includes an innovative webcam technology installed at webcam booths located at over 45 True Shops nationwide -- 13 in Bangkok and 32 in the provinces.  In addition there will be 5 mobile webcam booths.  Recorded pledge messages given by the public will be selected for broadcast on UBC News Channel 7 and posted on www.iwilldo.net.   The project will also be widely publicized through a comprehensive advertising and PR campaign to create public awareness and solicit participation from people nationwide to make their pledges of good deeds as a tribute to His Majesty the King.

To be part of this great initiative, simply visit any of the 50  “I Will Do” webcam booths.  Make your pledge of good deeds to pay tribute to His Majesty the King for the webcam to record.  True will select some of the recorded pledge messages to be aired on UBC News Channel 7.

In addition, pledge messages can also be sent via SMS or MMS to 74777 (free of charge), which will then be posted on  www.iwilldo.net.  The website consists of two main parts “Learn What His Majesty has done for us” and “Now It’s Your Turn to Do Good Deeds for His Majesty.”  The public is also welcome to send in their video clips, SMS, and MMS, or post web board messages or blogs to make pledges of good deeds.

“All communication channels of the True Group’s nationwide network are drawn in to implementing this major project – True Move mobile phone network, UBC cable TV, True Online broadband network and True Shops - because we want as many people as possible to get involved in this manifestation of loyalty and gratitude for His Majesty’s great kindness bestowed upon us during the past 60 years.  True has also made stickers, T-shirts and polo shirts as publicity materials to promote public awareness of the campaign.  We do hope that the ‘I Will Do’ project will be well participated by the public all across the country,” concluded Mr. Supachai.

The “I Will Do” campaign has already kicked off and webcams will run until July 31, 2006 to allow as many people as possible to participate.  To make your pledges, please visit any of the 50 True webcam booths nationwide and record your messages.  Some of the messages will be broadcast on UBC News 7 daily at 18.45hrs. from today until July 31, 2006.  For more information, please visit www.iwilldo.net .
